  • Boy did we pick the wrong day to come here. Once we got past the Halloween kids, we enjoyed ourselves though the wait for the tower climb was very long. We had enjoyable strolls through the conifers. ...  read more »
  • This place is as close to heaven on earth as it gets. They just opened the canopy walk and the watch tower. Doing both of these does cost extra but are totally worth it. I would recommend going early to give yourself enough time to see all the stuff. It is absolutely gorgeous. They do an amazing job keeping up with the landscaping. Pets are allowed on the trails but not on the tower or canopy walk. They have a shuttle type thing that you can ride around on this modified golf cart and see everything.
  • Surprisingly compact area in Arboretum includes the main draws of Murch Canopy Walk and Kalberer Family Emergent Tower. Plenty of plaques explaining trees you're seeing and related information. Display and Wildflower Gardens were more attractive, informative and memorable for my money. Ditto the Rhododendron Discovery Garden. Heath Pond is so placid and calming. A delight to sit and watch. Woodland Trail is exactly what the name implies. Note that it remains at the top of the valley. If you want to really get into the woods, The Offut boardwalk takes you down into the valley and along the stream without getting wet or muddy feet. No breeze down here so the insects are noticeable. What goes down must come up again so mind the climb you'll find on the Valley Trail that the Offut boardwalk leads into. Holden is well worth visiting in different seasons to see the dramatic changes that occur.
  • AMAZING! Great views from canopy walk and tower. Tons of activities for kids. Trails are amazing. Had so much fun
  • As far as arboretums go, this is the nicest I have ever been. it has a large canopy lookout and tower that cost extra but are fun. I haven't been here in the fall but I bet it would be amazing.
  • I think it is overpriced. I was disappointed that I paid extra to walk on the bridges in the trees because it only took about 5 minutes to get around & they wouldn't let us go around again. It is very cool though the way they engineered the bridges in the trees.
