  • It truly is wonderful. This spot is not only right down the road for me and my children but it is amazing. Clean hot showers after a long swimming day with six kids makes it so much easier.
  • Absolutely fantastic place. Clean facilities. Gorgeous surroundings. Cheap. Why this place was mostly empty is beyond me.
  • We discovered this gem last year and have been there twice in 2016 and twice in 2017 so far. The Bear Creek Trail head provides access to a running/jogging trail that is suitable for ATVs and Motorcycles. MTBs are not advised unless you have legs and buns of steel! The next park is a few miles away and the trail opens up to logging roads which are a blast to ride on, specifically the 15% and higher grades that add to the excitement. The children's park is large enough for soccer, or a single basket disc golf tournament. It's also very centrally located from all areas so kids can walk or ride there. This is our 2nd favorite lake in AR! The shape of the narrows makes for killer wakes and jet ski wakejumping! Also, the Island on the sountern part of the lake is sandy, shady and has a nice beach for picnicking and swimming. The boat ramp is fairly long, so my 26' 4-jet ski trailer is easy to load/unload. It's also not crowded, so there's no pressure to load/unload in a timely manner. The sites are "mostly" level, but you should bring a few 2x6" boards to pre-level your trailer before you disconnect from your tow vehicle. The breakers actually hold 30 and 50 amps, where some crappy parks have ancient breakers that will pop when your microwave is cooking while A/C is on. The bathhouses are centrally located, clean and cool, with ample room and hot water. My only complaint would be the dump station. While not horrible, I hate the long lines that can build up there with so many old folks that take their time dumping their loads. We have one more trip planned for 2017, solely for the Bear Creek experience on our ATVs and motorcycles. I'm sure we'll terrorize the lake with the jet skis too...
  • Reasonable price, great views, running water, cleanest bathrooms and showers I've ever been too at a camp site
  • Decent place that is quiet after 10:00pm. The scenery was nice, but quite a long walk to the trails. We couldn't walk the trails or even get into the lake, since it was dirty looking. The park was clean though.
