  • I have heard both positive and negative about this zoo. Apparently, the animals were poorly cared for in the past. It does appear the owners are making attempts to improve things, but more work needs ...  more »

  • This zoo is the perfect size to see in a couple of hours. They have a wide selection of animals. The pens and habitat are well kept. It's not a big commercialized zoo, it is family owned and operated....  more »
  • Love this zoo! Have been going to this zoo since I was a child!!! Handicap accessible! You can feed the animals even. Not that much to get in! Fun activities for the kids and adults to do.
  • I took my 10 year old granddaughter there, fantastic place to go to. She loved being able to feed the different animals and being up close to them. There was a little baby monkey that she was fascinated with and going into the bird exhibit and having the parakeets land on her hands and eating food off a stick was a thrill. An excellent visit!
  • I saw some reviews that said th animals were in bad shape and that the enclosures were to small. Absolutely wrong. The animals were healthy and all appeared healthy. The enclosures were in great shape (many appear brand new). The only exception was the chimpanzee enclosure, which seemed small until I realized there was another section to it. I think they are also making a new area for them. All that aside, I recommend going early. Get to the bird area first with the kids, as it is amazing to have the birds land on you and play on your shoes. Don’t miss it!
  • Had a nice time aside from them paving the lot and not informing people that the asphalt was soft. My mom's wheelchair sunk down in and the wheels were covered in tar. Very big pain to try and clean! Signs indicating where to go would have been nice. It was at the entrance so we had no choice but to go through but one side was much softer than the other which we didn't realize. Otherwise the animals were neat especially feeding the giraffes.
  • A great opportunity to see and interact with a variety of animals. The staff is very friendly. It's lots of fun feeding some of the animals.
