  • Nice stop before or after Oatman. The woman working and her dog, Pearl, were friendly. The lady was chatty but revealed much history of the place. Sells Route 66 souvenirs and a few cold drinks. Cash ...  more »
  • It is just a small old gas station with a mini museum and gift shop, but a must stop if you are driving through on Route 66. The woman at the counter (and her dog) were super friendly and gave us some...  more »
  • Move along people nothing to see here. Just an old gas station. The trip getting here is the main attraction and going towards Oatman are some sharp turns and beautiful views.  more »

  • This is a neat stop on Route 66. They offer a lot of different souvenirs as well as rocks and minerals with a self-service payment stand in case they are closed. There are some good photo opportunities here for mementos of your trip. Even if they are closed it is worth the stop to stretch your legs.
  • Stopped at Cool Springs Station on the way back from Oatman. Very unique place. Lots of history and staff were very friendly.
  • Cart before the horse. Nice little place, but not quite ready for prime time. For the only stop between two points on the 66 and it's not much more than another photo opportunity on the mother road. Not much to offer beyond that other than the usual overpacked gift shop standard fair. No real services if you know what I mean and only a very small amount of roadside necessities offered that are only prudent in such a location(to much attention put into the gift shop area, poor use of realestate). And last but not least, the "Museum" aspect of this stop is almost non-exsistant! The knowledge and the history described to those who stop in is not much more then a google search answer as opposed to a life time of experiences growing up and living in this area. Which is the real disappointed and the shame of it all. I think they had a good idea, just not enough planning. Possibly as a "national historic landmark" they should work more closely with county and state agency's, who might better help them set up a plan to meet and exceed their initial vision. Nice little stop if your in the area, but to far off the beaten path and not quite ready as a destination spot.
  • One of the coolest place in the world. Worth to stop and get the full history. Highly recommend
  • My wife and i stopped there in January, going from Oatman to Kingman, and really enjoyed the experience. There is a great deal of history there, including a movie filmed at the site, and fantastic people to tell you about it and about the area. Stop by and check it out!
