  • We spent a delightful 30-45 minutes browsing all types of bird-related items to purchase. We left with a wooden woodpecker and a bird house. It could have been more!  more »
  • This was our first and favorite of all of our gallery stops this trip. If you love art and sea birds this is a must see. Beautiful paintings, cast garden sculptures, prints. Absolutely beautiful...  more »

  • Amazing art and artifacts for any one who loves nature. We've been going there since the early nineties. Price ranges vary from the cheap to the fancy, but everything is well crafted and well designed. I particularly like the stylized nature coasters, pictures, and tiles. They have lures and sculptures as well.
  • Great store with lots of beautiful decor and decoys. Employees friendly and informative. They explained a little about the different carvers of the decoys that we bought. Highly recommend.
  • Outstanding! Room after room of top quality art, carvings and more. Prices for every pocket. Amazing driftwood collection. The owners are very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can't wait to go back.
  • Wonderful array bird works. Owners are friendly and helpful.
  • Not having visited the Bird Store I can only guess that it is as outstanding as the chance encounter I had with its owner today. I am from PA, visiting my sister after the recent death of her husband and after losing my own husband less than 1 year ago. Neither my sister or I know anything about oil levels in cars and I’d wanted to check on mine before returning to Pgh from KDH in the next few days. I tried myself to check it in the KDH PO parking lot but no oil registered on rhe dip stick at all. Mr Harvey of The Bird Store noticed my hood up and asked if he could help. As it turns out, I think he is probably one of the kindness, caring gentlemen that I’ve met in some time. He checked and confirmed that the oil stick was “dry as a bone.” He suggested that I take the car immediately to a full service gas station to replace the oil. Being Saturday, I said I didn’t know where there was one open. Mr Harvey said to follow him to a local station that he knew was open (it was after 4pm). I pulled up to a pump at the station and Mr Harvey got to work. I didn’t know what kind of oil to use so he and my sister found info on this for me in my owners manual, he found the containers of oil stocked at the station and proceeded to add 3 quarts of oil! I will never forget Mr Harvey’s kindness to me today and hope I can be as generous as he was to me when someone needs my help. Thank you and God Bless you Mr Harvey for helping a perfect stranger. Your forever friend and fan, Kathleen Allen
