  • We strolled by the boardwalk one afternoon and enjoyed the variety of birds doing their natural things. Another day, we went in the morning to use one of the beach accesses provided by the boardwalk. ...  read more »
  • We stop on our drive by. This was a nice place to visit and see things. We also bought stuff in the souvenir shop as well.
  • Not a very big attraction, but friendly staff that explain what's going on at this refuge are very helpful. Didn't take a ton of pictures, but I liked it.
  • The main building is closed until further notice because of an air conditioner problem. The road to the pond is open.
  • Nice & chilled out place for a walk...came across it by accident
  • I thought there would be a place to run--not so much. However, it's an incredible place to take an evening walk. You could walk for miles along the beach. We saw wales breaching!
  • I don't remember why I was able to go here other than for a field trip, but it was amazing. Also, if you are driving along the road and see black and white birds with pinkish legs, those are Hawaiian Stilts. Keep your eyes open for these as this wildlife sanctuary has a lot of birds, but numbers seem to still be dwindling. These sanctuaries are very much needed still.
