Kamaole Beach Park II, Kihei
(4.7/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
A wide, quiet beach, Kamaole Beach Park II is only one of a series of beaches in the area. Although storms can sweep the beach down to volcanic rock pebbles, most of the year it is covered in golden sand. The beach is flanked by the luxurious Maui Banyan condos and a spot of dense, green growth. The greenery continues around the beach, creating a barrier between the relaxing oceanside and the civilization beyond the trees. Take a look at our Kihei vacation builder to schedule your visit to Kamaole Beach Park II and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • The beach was clean and well marked. Bathrooms were on site. Good place for families. Good location.
  • This is a great park to walk around or ride a bike. Lots of options and a beautiful view. They have a skate park, playground, volleyball nets and restrooms plus benches to take a rest at.
  • We enjoyed every morning, being able to walk to the beach and swim with some turtles. It's also a great spot for snorkeling. Bring your coolers, lunch, and beach chairs and enjoy the day. I liked bein...  more »

  • All three of the Kamaole Beaches are really nice. Good snorkeling off points. Lots of turtles. Good for sunsets. Gets stirred up in the afternoon when the trade winds are blowing.
  • Snorkeled at Kamaole Beach III. A little murky but saw a variety of fish among the coral. Did not see any turtles. Pleasant park with a sandy beach and grassy picnic area. Easy access. Will visit and snorkel there again.
  • Very nice and clean beach, lots of sand and even some shade, although that is definitely first come first serve. If your lucky and the water is calm there are a fair amount of turtles that call this area home just out past the rocks.
  • Beautiful. Good snorkeling on the south end of number 2 and around the point to the north end of number three. Will usually get windy later in the day, but the lifeguards were kind enough to announce the exact moment at which one should put down their umbrella before the wind hit.
  • best spot for after dinner stroll, not a lot of people, long sandy beach, and peace and quiet -- what is the best of a vacation on the beach
