  • there is simply nothing to say about a traffic sign - next time tripadvisor will allow speed signs? bridge symbols?  more »
  • We've been to several cities that had the beginning of some road or another but people seem to go wild over this one. We saw a large group of people walking around all with the same "Mile 0" shirt on....  more »
  • Nothing more than that it can be quite fun to see the sign when we are here. Or if you traveled a lot on route 1.

  • The site is cool but someone absconded with the sign, so we had to go to the other one across the street, the nerve of some people. This is a great spot to get a photo while visiting Key West, and there are a number of local gift shop within walking distance. Parking can be a huge challenge, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to get your steps in.
  • Another iconic photo for fans of geographic extremes. I grew up just off Rt 1 a long way away, so this was neat to see. Much less crowded than the famous buoy photospot, and closely attended by souvenir shops if you need a likeness of the sign on a shirt or magnet.
  • JESUS CHRIST is LORD of ALL! You must be born AGAIN! Seek God while he may be found! Call upon him while he is near! Forsake ALL known SIN. Give your life to Jesus today! Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! Call upon Him TODAY! HALLELUJAH!!!
  • I drove south until I ran out of road and ended up here... Yep, it's a mile marker, but as mile markers go this one is right up there with the best. I'd say it's better than mile marker 1 by a mile.. What would it take to get less than 5☆ on a review of a mile marker?? How could it be improved if this mile marker was reviewed at less than 5☆? It's the end of the road. But if you turn around, you're at the beginning of the road..
  • I first saw this historic landmark over forty years ago, but it's still a bit mind boggling. I've lived along the east coast all my life, I went to a high school on US 1, and then to college not far from US 1 about four hundred miles farther north. It wasn't until I was an adult that I finally got to see the southern end of the road.
