Where to stay in Key West

To explore the best of what Key West has to offer on foot, stay near Old Town, a picturesque neighborhood famous for its streets lined with tropical trees and gardens. Most hotels in this area feature rooftop decks, where you can meet friends for cocktails and enjoy ocean views at sunset. If you don't mind driving to where most of the action is, consider staying at a budget-priced inn or bed and breakfast on the eastern end of the island.

  • Almost a non item is the end of the overseas highway. Of course these signs are available in most of the souvenir shops all over the island. But it is just something to check off your bucket list!  more »
  • This was one of the sites we wanted to take pictures of. No one else was there when we stopped. I took pictures of both the Northern and southern signs (across the street from each other). if you like...  more »
  • Nice for sight seeing , but it is just a street sign. No big deal. there isn't a whole lot you can say about it.  more »

  • we were there in May and it was HOT! We walked from Mallory Square with our dog. I got heat stroke, dog was fine (busy watching chickens) got a picture at the marker and walked back. Try not to walk that far in the heat..
  • It's a mile marker, plain and simple. There's not much to see or do in the immediate vicinity other than a few shops. It's a great photo-op and a Key West first timer pre-requisite. Swing by on your way to Duval street or on your way to dinner. Whatever is convenient for you. It's Key West, nothing is ever really out of the way anyways.
  • Just a sign.. pretty cool just to pull over and quick pic!
  • Great place for photos, but get there early as there may be a line to get a photo.
  • Small, but memorable. The shop across the street, "the 0 mile shop", is a great place to pick up a quick gift.
