  • This is a beautiful Basilica in Key West. If you are lucky you can chat with Sister Mary. A very special place with a Grotto.
  • Saint Mary Star of the Sea is such a charming church with such a Key West feel! The grounds are well manicured and the grotto is stunning! When in Key West, we always make a stop at The Basilica of Sa...  read more »
  • Stopped in here and I thought it was really nice how the windows on both sides of the church can open up. Small old church with a school, convent and cemetery.
  • Beautiful church, friendly and welcoming community, kind and warm priest. The grotto garden us lovely.
  • A strange experience: visited this place while on vacation last Saturday. The music was awful---so awful there was very little congregational participation. It seems that, with the history and the role this place holds, the music, liturgy and worship SHOULD be better than this. BUT, the kicker is that, after the service, my friend and I introduced ourselves to the minister, who said about three words to us then, in mid-sentence, abruptly walked away from us, went into the front door and closed it! We just stood there dumbstruck. I wonder if he noticed the Magen David around my neck or thought, because two guys were visiting together, we were a couple?? I thought visitors/strangers are supposed to be welcome in a religious place.....
  • What a beautiful church. Loved the Mass.
  • In this dark light of secularization are spiritual places in the world, which include the Catholic Church on Key West with adoration chapel, where we can in the dark night of faith or the spirit of close up even for a moment in our Lord, to wipe away tears and comforted him Go in this amazing lawlessness, also lived there for nearly 16 years, in this holy place through the intercession of Our Lady accumulated to Jesus Christ, to be able to fulfill His will be done in relation to my soul. God Bless! Anna Aniela Flak
  • What a fantastic church! The congregation was very welcoming and the priests were interesting. I felt so welcome and involved there.
