  • It's amazing what Nancy does for the birds. It's very nice talking to Nancy about all kinds of things and watching the birds. If you like tropical birds you should really visit this place.
  • March-April 2009 We rented the small home/shop in the middle of the then secret garden, It was just like being tn the back woods of Belize, FANTASTIC!! MY wife wasn't very happy when the kitchen window fell in on her, but hell that's what the jungle is all about. Her work with the parrots and unique plants is to be praised. and appreciated. Thank you Nancy for the opportunity.
  • We had the most beautiful time there. It was fun and informative. We showed up as strangers and left as friends. I would recommend anyone who loves animals to stop in. It's not a zoo, it's a rescue operation so I feel great about a donation to a great cause. I will definitely be going back.
  • We haven't been in 6 or so years, but this was one our favorite off the beaten path finds in the lower keys. $10 to help keep the place up is well worth it, after all, you probably just paid $11 for a watered down frozen drink at some dump on Duval, you may have given some street urchin $15 to read your palm, and you probably tipped a so/so server $25 for fair to average service - so why not support Nancy in her little tropical oasis?
  • A wonderful visit, especially for the eco-tourist. It is a little pricey and Nancy has recently had to move into a smaller lot, but her work with her orchids rescued parrots is outstanding. She was very agreeable and polite, as were the birds (who were full of personality!) Anyone visiting Key West who can spare $10 should stop by (and the best time to do so is earlier, when the birds are out!)
