Higgs Beach, Key West

(2.7/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Swim, snorkel, play tennis or beach volleyball, or simply enjoy the sun at sandy Higgs Beach, set within the tropical vegetation of Higgs Beach Park. Sun beds, umbrellas, paddleboards, and kayaks are available for rent. Taste a Caribbean-influenced cuisine at the beachside cafe. Nearby attractions include a Civil War-era fort surrounded by lush gardens and the only underwater marine park in the U.S. that's accessible from the shore. Amenities include free parking, public restrooms, outside showers, a children's playground, and a dog park. Bring water shoes, since the bottom of the ocean is rocky.
