Saw some huge barracuda, a sea turtle, many schools of fish, too many kinds to count. Relatively easy for new divers to navigate, since it is well-defined, and so much wildlife to see that the dive go...  more »

Saw lots of fish, many turtles and eels. Bioluminescence. Can't get lost. If you can see the wreck you know where you are. Highly recommend.  more »

We dove the Benwood after the Spiegel Grove. Nice and shallow, lots of fish and marine life. Gave me a great opportunity to practice with my new camera.  more »

This cargo ship sunk after a collision with another ship (both running without lights to avoid German subs) during World War II. It was raked and flattened to avoid clogging shipping lanes, so it lies flat and opened up on the bottom about 30'-40' down, easy access for recreational diving and a nice wreck dive for those who aren't up to diving through dark, enclosed spaces. The wreck functions as an artificial reef so a lot of marine life has set up shop here. This probably isn't going to excite advanced divers but is a great way to break up a set of coral reef dives with something a little different.

Very easy to fine. There are anchoring buoys surrounding the wreck that makes it extremely convenient to hook up and get in.

Great, historic wreck. Hangout for turtles and parrotfish.

Wreck of a wreck in middle of sand means lots of marine life. Grouper, snappers, rays and eels are very common here.
