  • We were with my spouse in Miami and wanted a less visited quiet beach to walk and get to know. This beach is excellent, we rented a couple of bikes and we made the tour even a raccoon came up to us. The Lighthouse is spectacular and has a place to sit and watch the sea. Super recommended

  • End of October are still visible the traces of Irma. The small park and former now disused Zoo in the South of the parking lot is still closed due to umstüzender trees. For birds fans: Ibis, Peacock and many others on the site walk up on arm's length. Visitor Center: The visitor center in the North of the parking lot is nicely done. You can watch some local fish, starfish and sea urchins and the latter two also with interesting explanation of the Center staff handle. An approximately 1km-long trail leads from there to fossilised mangroves, on the way there are lots of geckos, butterflies and a few mosquitoes, so bring bug spray. On the beach: much filth scum of and very much sea grass, both will be very American regularly plowed under. Recommended - right there live the much sea grass in the sea, that you should - go with caution slippers the above sea urchins. Only the atmosphere with many coconut palms is nice for me, for bathing Miami Beach suited me better. For dinner, we found only a machine, so bring picnic.
