We stopped in the botanical garden as it was close to our hotel and I am a big plant lover. The garden is fairly small, but has a nice variety of plants. There is a voluntary donation upon arrival. A ...  more »

The Sawtooth Botanical Garden has great youth and adult programming. It is also a beautiful place to host an event, or connect to your spirituality at the Garden of Infinite Compassion which hosts one of two prayer wheels in the United States that has been blessed by the Dalai Lama. It also features a large sandbox with plenty of toys for young children to play with. A great place to get connected back with dirt and nature.

Free. Children's play area. Nice grounds with local plants. Name plates on plants.

It's not a real big place, but its pretty cool. They have a nice greenhouse and a cool little area with a Tibetan prayer wheel/flags. I might have even given it 5 stars, but it was fall when we visited so there weren't a lot of flowers in bloom and it felt a little barren. Still, it was fun to walk around and explore.

We were here in early spring. Should probably have waited for things too start growing.
