  • The whole tour of this turn of the century brothel, should not take more than 20 minutes unless you are really fascinated by the world's oldest profession in a cold backwater. Not very glamourous and ...  more »

  • A small house with about half dozen or so rooms. An interesting look back at the red light district during prohibition times. Its a self-walk through, but each room has a TV narration if you chose to listen. It shouldn't take more than 15-20min max. Its only a few blocks from the cruise ship dock surrounded by other little shops. It was interesting (from a historic prospective), but honestly, I would only recommend it if your in the area and don't have anything else to do.
  • Good fun! The ladies give a great tour and explain much, much more about Dolly, her history and her philanthropic qualities that helped the local community. Time and money well spent!
  • We visited this place while on a cruise in 2005. We found the place curious and worth visiting. In a book we bought here prostitutes were portrayed as brave explorers of the wild :-)
  • An interesting place to visit with a lot of colorful history. This was included as part of one of our tours. It's right at the beginning of Ketchikan's Creek St. and is the last remaining brothel building in Ketchikan and possibly in Alaska too.
  • It has a lot of fun fact and history background, I would recommend to visit if you have time

Where to stay in Ketchikan

For a small city, Ketchikan boasts a surprisingly diverse array of accommodations. A downtown hotel is the best option for those who want to stay within walking distance of the city’s restaurants, bars, stores, and attractions, plus it offers proximity to the water. If you have access to a car, you can save a few dollars and enjoy some of Alaska's famous scenery by staying farther out of town. The area's selection of bed and breakfasts includes a number of quirky establishments full of character. The surrounding Tongass National Forest has a well-equipped campground and RV park.
