  • Great place to reflect and to bring kids to play. Three play grounds a fishing pond and a great hall to rent. The Field of Honor is moving and lives up to its name

  • Was made to leave the memorial site for working out in that area. In a very rude manner. Had I known that this particular memorial was off limits, unlike other memorials such as the Lincoln in DC who encourages health and fitness,I would have avoided it. This used to be my favorite place, but the guy on staff really took rude up a level for me.
  • Beautiful park! I always see workers mowing, weeding, tending to plants, etc. Very clean and two great play grounds. Rock climbing walls, trails, tennis court, frisbee golf circuit. Also an amazing memorial to honor those who have served our country. They have a precession of American flags starting from the Union Jack all the way to our current stars and stripes. The flags would be a great way to talk to kids about the history of the US.
  • The soccer field is great, sadly it was closed from June 1st to July 17th. You can hike, play on the athletic fields, and have picnics. There is plenty of space! Furthermore, it's dog friendly, so you can bring them along for a nice walk.
  • Beautiful park, wonderful tribute to the branches of the military!!! Made me proud to be an American!!! This wonderful park has an awesome collection of American flags from throughout our history and a plaquard telling the brief history of that individual flag.
  • Great place for family and picnicking. Very large open area with playgrounds, volleyball, and many other sports. Perhaps the best park in NC.
