  • The highlight is the General, the locomotive in the Great Locomotive Chase of 1862. Also has nice display of other CivilWar artifacts but mostly related to railroads in the CW. Has great train themed ...  read more »
  • Great place to visit for all ages. Small but informative and fun. A couple of the exhibits in the interaction part were not working well but hopefully they can get those fixed.
  • Enjoyed visit to museum and to some of the little stores around it. Love history and seeing old engineering is right up my alley. Would recommend anyone in the area with a couple of hours to kill take...  read more »
  • My kids and I loved it. They have it set up so children can do a scavenger hunt and learn at the same time. There was even a place for the baby to play .
  • Great selection in the gift shop, and well educated staff Great for the modern train enthusiast
  • Its really not meant for a child. No children would be interested in how they made a train. Or the limited history of the civil war. All I seen was children climbing on a caboose that they had no clue what is was about.
  • Huge museum, we spent 2 hours there. If you ever read the story of the Union soldiers stealing a train called The General, it's here! Amazing history of the Civil War and post war industry. Great exhibits for kids.
  • Very cool museum.
