Walker's Point, Kennebunkport
Categories: Scenic Drives, Tourist Spots, Outdoor Activities
Walker's Point juts out into the Atlantic Ocean as a picturesque place for the summer home of the 41st president of the United States, George H. W. Bush. The land has served as a family retreat for over a century, and a number of important world leaders have had meetings here, including Margaret Thatcher and Mikhail Gorbachev. The entrance is guarded by Secret Service officers, but the buildings are visible to passersby. Bring your camera along to take photos of the property; there are a few plaques and benches to see from the home's exterior.
