#1 of 15 in Theme Parks in Texas Gulf Coast
Discover roller coasters, carnival rides, restaurants, and shops along Kemah Boardwalk. Stroll down the shores of Galveston Bay and Clear Lake, stop for a bite to eat at one of the area's ten restaurants, or step into some of the stores lining the way. You'll find plenty of rides and games with prizes for children or the whole family, including the wooden Boardwalk Bullet roller coaster. To experience the full charm of this area, consider staying at the Boardwalk Inn, a boutique hotel at the center of it all, with balconies overlooking the bay and boardwalk. • Think Mardi Gras but on the water. Every year on Mardi Gras weekend all the yachts in the area decorate their boats and drive along the water throwing beads to the crowd. Kids love it and adults too!  more »
  • Great place to go when the weather is nice. They have everything from shops, rides, and restaurants. You can have fun just walking around or going out to eat on the boardwalk!  more »
  • Stay away from Kemah Boardwalk Outfitters. So ridiculous. I bought a tee shirt Friday evening. I didn’t want to try it on right then as we were on our way to a party. I brought it back Saturday and as...  more »

  • The restaurants they have offer great meals and just like thier sister locations have the regular menu options and a few places, boardwalk special menu items. The rides are great for family fun and getting out to enjoy free time. There are plenty of child friendly attractions as well as those for date night and getting together with friends. Located very close is night time entertainment consisting of bars and eateries so close if they where close they would be one building making an adventurous night easy and fun. This place has been here for quite some time and has solid ownership. It's only going to become greater and with constant updates and things from Rock the Dock, fireworks every weekend during July, and other almost weekly events, you will always have something fun to do at the Kemah Boardwalk.
  • Awesome place and as a local for many years I still loved going. There are several restaurants, fun games for kids. There are rides and a large roller coaster called the Bullet which makes you feel like you’re going in to the bay on the way down! There’s a splash area, a few cool zones and a bunch of unique little gift shops to check out! Yes it’s pricey here, the same as any amusement place. There is a hotel on site and I highly recommend the pizza shop! Parking is costly but if you park on the other side of the marina near the entrance to the Kemah Boardwalk, there is a little boat that will take you across the 20’ waterway. The boat fits quite a few at a time and considering you can throw a rock to the other side, the long lines on the weekend go quickly! If you’re an out-of-towner, spend the day and have fun, stroll around, ride the rides and spend some money eating decent food! Salt Grass is my favorite restaurant down there! There is usually a band there on the weekends. Rock the Dock is motorcycle night on Thursday’s and then they do fireworks every Friday night in June and July! Great place to go!
  • Arrived here during rush hour. Traffic was busy but the wait only took about 29 minutes. The food was fresh and flavorful. Plenty of selections...easily make a great salad or something more savory on the seafood side. An all you can eat buffet with lots of options. I recommend the salmon and for dessert the red velvet cake and ice cream. Nice views from inside the restaurant. Altogether a good time.
  • I love coming down here! The ride getting here is the best. The boardwalk is awesome along with the community of businesses surrounding it. They have really done a great job making it attractive to all ages. I recommend coming down here whatever the situation may be.
  • This place kid friendly. A lot of fun rides for all ages. Good sea food in most of the restaurants and for a reasonable price. Boardwalk is small compared Atlantic City or San Diego’s. There is free parking as soon as you enter from the main road on the right side. It’s a 7 min walk from this free parking place. Go give it a try on a spring evening and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Note check traffic before you decide to go. This place is known for ridiculous traffic jams...
