  • I live 5 minutes away from the beautiful Clear Lake State Park and it is a great walk to the beach area, takes about 1 hour. I really want to launch a Kayak off the beach but haven't done that as yet....  more »
  • My buddy wanted to have his Bachelor Party as a camping trip, and we booked a nice spot at the Kelsey Creek Campground. It's really close to the boat kick off are and swimming portion of the lake. The...  more »
  • Wondering if clear lake stater park is suitable for swimming mid July? Last time we drive across 20 it was thick w algae. Anyone there now can comment, would love to enjoy an afternoon enroute to Sac.
  • It's a state park...not sure what else to say but the views are great! I just read thru some of the other reviews and Lol'd at a few of them...people should research the area in which they travel...they would know the "situation " with Clearlake. ..also the complaints about the frogs and mosquitoes was hilarious. ..did you actually think those creatures have an "off switch " because you're trying to sleep at the state park? Lol...must be the "city folk"...
  • If you're into fishing, black bass especially, clear lake is ideal. The camp is clean and well maintained. It's wheelchair accessible is most places and you feel safe in it.
  • Nice place to camp and enjoy the lake and the park staff are super friendly especially the gate attendant she was really nice and give me good directions
  • Awesome, big park, with incredible hikes into very Tolkien landscape. A good mix of public access, boating, water, as well as some quiet trails.
  • The bitty at the gate was just plane rude. Some jerk ran his generator and kept us up.. OLD Bitty was grouchy on the was out of the park as well. Otherwise a perfect time. Caught fish, very fun, very clean. Not too many skeeters in early June.
