  • Place is awesome. Went mid September. People leave you alone, the camping is right on the water. Hell, it even rained all day Saturday and we still had a great time. Minus the $175 boat ride over the family, truck and trailer, it wasn't expensive either. Will go back for sure.
  • Love the island and the state park. KI is more relaxed and less party than the neighboring putt in bay. Great place to get away and offers a fantastic harbor to swim and fish.
  • Really nice camp ground well maintained great views of lake nice island for family s
  • Note the glacial grooves are on the left hand side of the road when you enter the park off of a small parking lot. If you drive further back, the road loops and there's hiking trails you can take. Very beautiful!
  • Great park but customer service was less than satisfying. Maintenence staff mowed the grass in the camping areas before 9 AM. During our stay the bathroom ran out of toilet paper in all stalls of our nearest bathroom for 24 hrs. Campsites could have used more trees in general. Otherwise, the island was wonderful.
