  • This is a great home of one of.our founding fathers that I did not know much about. The guide was wonderful and she explained many interesting things about John Jay and what role he played in the founding of our country and state. This is fascinating and worth the time and money to visit. There are also many interesting and senic hiking trails. This is a gem.
  • I love this place! Beautiful grounds and gardens , awesome Farmer's market on Saturdays.
  • Great place to visit for some insight into the origins of our republic. Jay was the very first Chief Justice of our Supreme Court. Just imagine people like Thomas Jefferson or George Washington arriving to confer with Mr. Jay to convince him to be the first Chief Justice. Amazing.
  • I love old historical homes. John Jay was a founding father, but not a well known name. The house is is great shape, and we really enjoyed the tour, but it was very rushed. Needed 90 minutes, not less than 60 that we got on the tour. But still recommend visiting.
  • Historic home and estate with farm of John Jay, 1st Chief Justice of the US. Seasonal events. My favorite farmers market is on Saturdays 10-2, also nice gardens for a stroll and some country style kids' attractions. Close to the Katonah Museum, Katonah Village (boutiques), I-684 and Saw Mill Parkway.
