  • Cute little garden with lots of Monarch butterflies. This memorial is at the base of the Nelson Adkins lawn, so if you are taking in the museum is an easy walk.  more »

  • One of KC's little gems sort of hiding in plain sight. It's easy to drive past without noticing it. It's exceptionally well planned & maintained. New plantings every year and some are changed out seasonally. Most plants are well labeled. Quite a few out of the ordinary plants and a big fat, friendly cat.
  • This is a must see garden! My husband and I love this little gem! It is a stunning smaller garden open to the public and just off the plaza. We try visit at least once each season as it always offers a changing lovely view and great ideas for our own yard. As a side note it is the final resting spot for the Kaufman's...and what a beautiful place it is.
  • Very beautiful free-to-visit garden. My wife and I had our wedding photos taken here back in 2008. I heard they don't allow that anymore due to people standing in the garden: very sad.
  • A beautiful landscaped garden in a private feeling semi-enclosed area. It's many features include an outdoor atrium with large palm plants, a fountain, a covered sitting area, and a reflecting pool, with a large variety of plants and flowers. The garden is located at the south end of the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park, just south of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. A real gem near the Country Club Plaza and UMKC.
  • Beautiful and peaceful first thing in the morning. Loaded with butterflies and bumblebees. Except for the grounds keeper I've got the place to myself not counting the fat resident domestic cat. Gates seem to be open prior posted times, great for early risers. Don't miss this KC gem!
