  • Great fun. Good place to let loose with friends. Incident on the slide is a tragedy but the rest of the park was great
  • Great place to spend the day. A perk is they do not charge for parking. Kansas gets extremely hot and sunny so if you can, get there early to stake out chairs with shade. The swim up bar is great for ...  read more »
  • Every year we make it our last hoorah to go to Schlitterbahn Waterpark before the kids start school, this year was no exception. We purchased a cabana for our visit which was amazing, the staff was fr...  read more »
  • We had four of us in a group, got signed up for Verrukt once the gates opened. The park was fairly clean but seemed understaffed. It didn't seem crazy busy but the lines filled up quickly. On Verrukt the wait was long, a lot of stairs, once up there the staff seemed to be very lax about their job. The tubes were in decent shape but the Velcro straps seemed very worn from use and wet obviously. The experience was alright but I don't see myself going back anytime soon.
  • A fun filled day! We reserved a small cabana. LOVED IT! You have shaded table and chairs, a valuables safe, free locker in the cabana village, ice bucket and bottled water AND a staff member to take food/drink orders. Also they give you 2 Schlitterbahn Beach Towels. There is a entrance/exit to the water right there in the village which is really nice also.. Worth the extra charge!
  • All around it was a fun water park for all ages and would have to say it was the best water park I have ever been too(which has been many). After hearing about the boy that died though makes me question the safety and I can not give them a better rating , I was on the slide 2 days ago and the little boy behind me said that in the test trials the dummies were decapitated, so the fact that it happened in real life, don't tell me they didn't know it was unsafe. And it can't be blamed on the teenagers that run the ride, the owners need to take responsibity. My prayers go out to the family and hope they get justice for their loss. The park is perfectly fine without the slide if I would of known what I know now I would have never done it myself. The Velcro straps weren't even added till later the lifeguard told me "so you don't actually need them." Clearly even if you do use them they don't work.
  • We visited last year in August 2015. It was fun for my family and our two young boys but it was so packed with people that we were literally fighting over rafts and people kept trying to take ours from us. There should be a limit on how many people are allowed in. Our youngest son got lost following us over a bridge going from one ride to the next. Again, too many people and he followed the wrong family. We found him in about ten minutes but it was enough to me as a mother sick to my stomach. Now we are planning another trip before school starts and I had almost bought the tickets on-line until I heard about the tragedy of the young Schwab boy. It makes me literally sick! I have not been able to quit thinking about it and I have a very hard time with how the safety of this ride has been handled. There are so many things that went wrong with that accident and until Schlitterbahn decides to put safety before profit I will never visit this park again. I can't believe they opened only two days after the accident which only confirms my opinion that this is just another greedy business who only cares about making profit and not the safety of the people. KIDS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RIDE THIS RIDE!!! My heart breaks for the Schwab family!
  • My husband and I were extremely disappointed in the way this park is run. We got there about 30 minutes after the park opened on a Wednesday. Though we bought our tickets online, the check in process took 45 minutes as they didn't have enough staff to check everyone's bags/ coolers. Once we got inside, All the slides already had over a 45 min- an HOUR wait. We stood in line for one slide for 30 minutes, but left along with others when we realized the line hadn't been moving at all. We went to the "Torrent River" which isn't really a ride and is advertised as having no line, as it just takes people floating in tubes around the park. Unfortunately we had to wait 30 minutes for a tube and were still unable to get one. There was a giant supply of tubes being hoarded behind the lifeguard. I suppose they were told the park wasn't busy enough to use all the tubes, but obviously there was a tube shortage. I asked him if I could use one of those, and was told no. I ended up asking another lifeguard who allowed me to sneak into the hoarded tube section so my husband and I could at least grab two tubes to go on the Torrent River. We ended up leaving after 3 hours and NO rides. What a waste of money after spending $85. White Water in Branson is much better run, has multitudes of more staff to help you out, is decorated and more pleasing to the eye, and the lines to the rides are always moving and go very quickly, even on busy days.
