  • Was surprised at how accessible and walkable this museum is. Fabulous exhibits. Knowledgeable staff.  more »
  • A beautifully designed contemporary art museum, right across the street from the K.C. Institute of Art. The exhibit I saw was so illuminating and long over-due - abstract art created by women of color...  more »

  • Contemporary art isn't much of my taste, but the architecture of this place is beautiful and there is a piece of chulily art right above one of the entrances and it is breath-taking. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant inside (the Sebastian), but it's worth a visit if you enjoy this type of art. My fiance and I stopped at a little local place called Crow's coffee and it was a nice way to spend an afternoon while on vacation in KC.
  • One of the reasons Kansas City is awesome. It's free to go to this museum. Always interesting exhibits.
  • Cause I like museums. Good variety in a small space. Always good exhibits with interesting pieces.
  • Nice place but I guess I just dont get the "art." Im apparently not creative enough. There were a couple of amazing pieces but there was also a display that was a table full of crumbled foam packaging. I don't understand. I'm glad we found the other art museum down the street.
  • Well laid out. Can be viewed quickly, but the pieces are quality. I did not eat at the restaurant but it smelled wonderful.
