The Kemper is a delightful art museum with well-curated exhibits. Oh, and did I mention admission is free? The current exhibition, Magnetic Fields, is a vibrant multi-dimensional show of African-Ameri...  more »

This was our first visit to the Kemper. It was pouring rain and not crowded at all. The gallery is free to the public, and while not huge (compared to the Nelson) it is well staffed and has a nice col...  more »

Contemporary art isn't much of my taste, but the architecture of this place is beautiful and there is a piece of chulily art right above one of the entrances and it is breath-taking. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant inside (the Sebastian), but it's worth a visit if you enjoy this type of art. My fiance and I stopped at a little local place called Crow's coffee and it was a nice way to spend an afternoon while on vacation in KC.

One of the reasons Kansas City is awesome. It's free to go to this museum. Always interesting exhibits.

Cause I like museums. Good variety in a small space. Always good exhibits with interesting pieces.

Nice place but I guess I just dont get the "art." Im apparently not creative enough. There were a couple of amazing pieces but there was also a display that was a table full of crumbled foam packaging. I don't understand. I'm glad we found the other art museum down the street.

Well laid out. Can be viewed quickly, but the pieces are quality. I did not eat at the restaurant but it smelled wonderful.
