  • We went there on Saturday evening after a rain storm. It was a slow evening. I thought the machines were tight and the ventilation system was not very good removing the cigarette smoke. The staff were...  more »
  • I liked the casino, but it is more downtown so in my opinion a different crowd than those found further out away from town. I thought the machines were good and I had good luck.  more »
  • So this is one of the stops if you decide to use the bus 77 casino cruiser to get here from downtown KC. Now the reason I bring up the security issue is that since i was using the bus system to get ar...  more »

  • We really love the buffet here--a lot of meal and dessert selection, and the food has flavor. The sweet tea was VERY sweet (too sweet actually) but I won't take away a star for that. I'll give this 4.5 stars only because our server never refilled my boyfriend's drink.
  • Bad:The actual casino floor needs a lot of work, needs updated, the musty, sweaty, smoke smell is overwhelming. Sometimes the wait to get a seat at a table isn't even worth waiting on a weekend. Last time I went, I tried to get a drink on the floor for ten minutes before I gave up, the bar wasn't busy, there were just no employees paying attention. Good: I love the upstairs bar, music is always great, staff is awesome, there is one bartender who's name I forget but he's there Friday nights who is one of the best bartenders I've come across anywhere. Drinks and food are good and reasonably priced. The bathrooms are also nice and always clean. The support staff and security at this casino I've run across have all been pleasant and professional.
  • Tried to eat here and bring my 2 year old. They wanted to charge full price on crab leg night for her. What toddler eats $35 worth of food? Sorry but I'll stick to the Argosy and Ameristar, who don't charge $30 for 5 bites. Very disappointing. Update: went to eat crab legs at the Argosy. My daughter ate for free (which amounted to one slice of pizza and some broccoli). The place was FULL of families! Isle of Capri is missing out on a lot of money. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • They've gotten better, the machines are better, the staff is getting friendlier. I don't know if the slot club has gotten better or promotions. I don't know if the food is better, because it was below average in all 3 or 4 spots a year ago. I've been there recently and got the same good service, a wide variety of clean games, and nobody bothered me, and the place was clean and secure.
  • I read all these reviews and find most of them to be comical. The machines are tight, the food is horrible, but almost everyone loves the staff. If the machines and payouts are tight, why would you continue to go back and complain about it? Casinos are in business to make money, that's the plain hard truth. The part that I find sad, is with all the money a casino profits, why isn't there a better ventilation system in place? Why is the property outdated? If you can't run a casino the right way and offer a Vegas style atmosphere and a safe and exciting surrounding, you shouldn't be in the business.
