  • Always a good experience at city market. Local produce, honeys, breads, spices coupled with some local eateries and flavors. The restaurants and shops look pretty good. I have been to the Mediterranean shop as well as the french bakery and I have had a good time. I like to come here on Sundays for some produce shopping and get some treats at the french bakery.
  • Very friendly staff. One of its own kind environment. Best to visit is on weekends before 12 PM. I go to this place every weekend. I love this place. They have a wide range of vegetables to buy for unbeatable price tags.
  • Great place to go find produce, spices, and other fresh food items, a well as some craft-type items. Lots of ethnic shops here permanently, as well as lots of chic coffee houses and restaurants within walking distance. The Steamboat Arabia museum is here as well. Do not try to drive to the City Market, or indeed anywhere in the River Market district on Saturday unless you get here very early, as you will not be able to find a parking spot, paid or not. I would advise parking downtown and taking the streetcar on main.
  • Some shops are 0K. The fruits & vegetable stand on the inside, west walk way is not so fresh. think they sell commercial hand offs. the coffee shop in the NW corner not friendly at all. Again I don't dress, nor act like a millennial & I was wearing my army shirt.Death stares were in no short supply. Will I go back? You bet. If for no other reason but to tick off an ignorant bunch of jackasses . . . .& the coffee was good. The rest of the place I like fairly well.
  • Pretty neat place to stop by and see. We just happened to drive by and visit the museum but instead got caught up walking the market area. All the fresh veggies, fruits and spices you can imagine. We left with several different spices so that's a plus. Wish we had longer to explore the area.
