  • Good food, good music and lot's of lovely people. This was my last stop of the day, but I did get a chance to enjoy the crowd of the market at around 4:30 PM on Sunday.
  • One of the things I truly missed when living in Kansas were farmer's markets and flea markets. City Market on Sundays helped with the itch by having a weekly Farmer/Flea Market. It's not a huge event ...  read more »
  • The City Market is generally crowded on weekends, but there are a ton of available parking options. There are many permanent restaurants and stands here, and locals selling goods. The local goods rang...  read more »
  • Been going here for years. Great location for getting produce at very reasonable prices. Wonderful resturants. The weekend gamers markets are always fun. Lots of unique fruits and veggies... Most in the center stalks are small local farms. This is a great place to take out of town vistors.
  • Pretty neat place to stop by and see. We just happened to drive by and visit the museum but instead got caught up walking the market area. All the fresh veggies, fruits and spices you can imagine. We left with several different spices so that's a plus. Wish we had longer to explore the area.
  • There is tons of things out there that are both unique and health! I get most of my spices from here and I rather get my spices here than stores hands down. It's great year round but it's even nicer when the weather is excellent.
  • Lots of choices for fresh local produce (Saturdays), breakfast, lunch etc. It may take a few trips to find your favorite sellers as quality varies. Prices and choices are better here than other farmers markets e.g. Lawrence. It gets really crowded and parking, construction makes it stressful. Park offsite along street car route, then use the volunteer tomato taxi kids to load your produce.
  • We visited my father on vacay and be told us about the city market and that's where he would go to get fresh spices and seasonings. My husband was hooked (lol) we even found out he can place an online order. Needless to say he made an awesome bbq rub everyone raved about all thanks to "the planters seed company".
