CommunityAmerica Ballpark is a baseball park in Kansas City, Kansas, technically located in the latent township Piper, Kansas. It is home of the Kansas City T-Bones of the independent American Association, and the former home of the Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting Kansas City) of Major League Soccer. It is located in the Village West area at 1800 Village West Parkway. Many local area High School teams play at the ballpark and it is also the home of the Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devils. It has also been used for concerts and some community events.DescriptionThe ballpark is named after CommunityAmerica Credit Union, a Kansas City area financial institution, which bought the naming rights to the park. The reported dimensions of CommunityAmerica are 300ft down the left field line (with an 18ft wall, affectionately known as "the Little Green Monster"), 411ft to left center, 396ft to dead center, 409ft to right center, and 328ft down the right field line. Walls are about five feet high, with the exception of the Little Green Monster and the bullpen area in left center. The walls are about 10ft high at the bullpens, which are in center field and add a few extra angles and contours to the outfield. The playing and seating areas are completely surrounded by a 25ft wide concourse. With the addition of bleacher seats in 2008, the park has 6,537 fixed seats, though its capacity (including the concourse, picnic area, right field grass berm, and center field party area) is usually considered over 7,500.

  • If the $2 large beers don't win you over, the $8 tickets and free parking will. This is a fun, intimate ball park to watch a game of wanna be's. Sadly, it seems to be dwindling in numbers and I'm not ...  more »

  • Old school baseball. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy to locate. Easy to access from a nearby interstate. FREE parking. Oh I also appreciated that it was built so the seats faced away from the setting sun.
  • The environment is fabulous here! It is very family friendly with something to do for people of all ages! A playground with bouncy houses, a basketball goal, grass seating on one of the slopes, a fun mascot (that my children are now obsessed with), as well as a wide variety of adult beverages at one of many concession stands!
  • Beautiful night at the ballpark. The T Bones finally won in the 10th. Community ballpark is a great place to visit. The fans are great, the food is good and the T Bones are fun to watch.
  • Fantastic little facility to catch some baseball. Not a bad seat in the place. Staff is always friendly. Food is good with a wide variety to choose from.
  • We love coming to CommunityAmerica Ballpark to watch the T-Bones play! It's always Fun Well Done.
