  • My family wanted a nice place to have our lunch. My oldest daughter comes a few times a month before work to relax and go for a nice walk and she suggested we come here. We drove all the way up to the...  more »
  • This facility should be named a botanical park instead of a botanical garden. It is a beautiful spot but too spread out to function as a garden.  more »
  • First, go through the visitor center. We didn't and wish we had. We did take the hike back to the lake, though. It's pretty cool as you go by many plants and trees that have name placards - very inter...  more »
  • Nice, low key park. I love that they keep cars out between 4 pm - 9 am daily. During those hours, the park still remains open to pedestrians and bicyclists via the pedestrian entrances in both the main and rear entrances (and also campers during the weekend). The stream and loop trails are nice, but can be muddy, especially the stream trail, where there is also some downed vegetation. These trails connect to the pond, which they close the east part off except to fishing, 10 am - 2 pm.
  • So beautiful here, what a great escape from the hussle of the city. Great lake there. You can rent a foshing pole on the weekend and take your kids fishing. They also allow camping
  • Very beautiful area. One minute you are in the city and the next you are surrounded by nature. Definitely a place to go when you need to get away and reconnect with nature. :)
  • Great place to spend a day with the family. Lots of nature paths throughout the gardens and most plants labeled. The fishing is always a hit with the kids since you are using a bamboo pole. Just know that it is catch and release.
  • What a fabulous place. Lush tropical plantings, a lake, and picnic areas all set against those fantastic mountains.
