#2 of 12 in Outdoors in Kaneohe
This tours are the only of their kind on the island currently certified by the Department of Land & Natural Resources (DLNR). Come kayak on beautiful Kane'ohe Bay located on the windward coast of Oahu. Kane’ohe Bay is home to Oahu's only barrier reef. Enjoy a guided eco-tour with Kama'aina Kids' friendly staff of certified instructors. Experience the magnificence of Kaneohe Bay's pristine waters and diverse sea life with the Bay's one and only kayak eco-tour.

The three hour tour will journey to Coconut Island, home of the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology (and where the television show, Gilligan's Island, was filmed). Along the way explore and snorkel at various patch reefs and observe sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish in their natural habitat. Your guide will point out cultural sites, such as the traditional Hawaiian fish pond at He'eia, and will also explain some of the challenges facing the ecosystem of the Bay.

The protected waters of the Kaneohe Bay make it a perfect place for kayakers of all skill levels. This hands-on approach makes it a safe and exciting learning experience for all ages.

  • We did the self guided tour and while we were a bit lost on our own, we figured it out and had a great day. Swam above tons of fish and a few turtles. Food at the end was AMAZING!  more »
  • We had a great time with Shane and Cody, and the bay is gorgeous. This trip is perfect for families or those of us who are non-athletic lol. Very relaxed atmosphere. The guys towed us in the kayaks to...  more »

  • Booked a kayaking/snorkeling tour with mom during our visit to O'ahu and it ended up being the highlight of our trip. The guides were helpful, professional and SO friendly! One even gave my mom his wetsuit top to wear after she decided that the water was too cold for her to snorkel- he didn't want her to miss out! Just incredible customer service. We saw a few sea turtles while snorkeling which was super cool, and the lunch was surprisingly delicious. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting the island!
  • Had an amazing experience with my kayak rental - the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, offering advice, checking up on me in windy conditions, and making sure I had the best experience possible. One of the staff members even lent me a jacket to wear when I had forgotten mine! Kayaking the bay is a truly beautiful experience and they went above and beyond to make sure I had a good time
  • Had an amazing time out on the water today! Beautiful park and amazing helpful staff who have aloha in their hearts!! They took care of everything, the food was wonderful and I would highly recommend for families, adventurers, and anyone who loves the beauty of Hawaii!
  • very nice staff, good location and good prices for oahu. Get a kayak and go to the sandbar and watch the turtles respectfully. Leave your selfie sticks, beers and loud music for later! Don’t step on the reef, please!!!
  • We had a great time! Picking up the kayak is simple and convenient. They threw in the back rest in for a thumbs up on the FB which was nice! Get the anchor but still keep an eye on the kayak because it would still drift. It takes about 30-45 min to paddle out to the sandbar. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen cause it gets hot!
