Just a short drive from Park City, Provo River Falls is a series of waterfalls in Wasatch National Forest. The impressive cascades tumble over a dramatic natural landscape of craggy peaks and fir forests. The flow of the river may be low at the height of the summer, but the falls may still be worth visiting. The area is ideal for hiding away from the heat and wading into the cool water. • I was taking UT150 scenic byway and found this! Beautiful place to stop and enjoy the nature. I can't imagine it at full tide. Gorgeous place.

  • Beautiful set of several waterfalls just off the Mirror Lake Highway. Definitely worth stopping and spending a few minutes walking the trails and seeing the falls. The only bad thing is the parking lot is way too small and fills quickly.
  • Beautiful place to spend a little time. You can park and the falls are almost right there. Kind of Easy and safe access if you are going with baby. Not much space if you want to take a tent or spend a whole day though. Water is really cold.
  • Gorgeous drive, make the loop through kamas and around down through Evanston. A nice all day adventure. Make sure to stop at Provo river falls, Washington lake and mirror lake, a few good hikes along the way also. Pack a lunch and enjoy, make a day of being in awesome country!
  • I absolutely love Provo River Falls! It is definitely a commitment to drive up there if you're coming from Utah County, but it is worth it. I went with some of my family early and it was great. It wasn't crowded for the first part of the morning, though it did get rather crowded later on. You can go across the falls and there are some fun trails to hike on the other side. It is beautiful and the drive up there is stunning.
  • Family and kid friendly. Worth the drive, especially in the fall. Beautiful all the way there. Keep an eye out for bikers, they love this highway.
