  • Nice hike. We took the left turn and ended up with a hike up the last hill. Overlooks Kalispell and a neighborhood.
  • A short drive from Kalispell up to this state park is well worth the time. In addition to the Visitor Centre (seasonal closing) there are some excellent short walks to several viewpoints overlooking t...  read more »

  • A nice place to stop if you are heading out of Kalispell. Great views over Kalispell looking at the mountains. There are Picnic tables and a sand volleyball pit. The visitor center looks brand new with lots of cool stuff like animal pelts
  • This park will always hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember growing up and seeing the observation cliff from my house then going up there and looking back down to find our house. So gorgeous up there at every turn. Some really great hiking trails too.
  • Love the different trails for all different levels of fitness. Trailhead is easy to get to. The view from the top is a wonderful reward.
  • This state park is located next to Kalispell. It is located on a hill next to the valley. It offers some great view of the valley. If you enter the park from the north entrance, you will drive to the top. There is a visitor center located there along with rest rooms. This part of the park has picnic areas along with a spot for volleyball. From the visitor center, you cross the bridge over the ravine and it is a short walk to viewing area. There are two other entrances to the park that are below the hill. One has a nice gate a wide path that will take you up to the viewing area and visitor center. This is though is located near a residential area and there is limited parking. The second entrance below the hill has better parking. The trails are a little steeper, but all will eventually loop you to the visitor center and overlook area. The state park has some nice trails, but realize that is surrounded by a residential area. A nice park for picnics and family walks.
  • It's got a good 30min hike for the days where you don't want to venture into the park or wilderness. Great views of the city!
