White Sand Beach, Kailua-Kona
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Dig your toes in (if you can!) at White Sand Beach, famous for its disappearing sand. Whenever large storms blow in, winds carry away the sand and leave behind only lava rock. That won't spoil your visit, however: the sea returns the sand, clean and good as new each time. While not large, this piece of shoreline remains popular with water sport enthusiasts who come to surf, body surf, or body board in the playful waves. For a special treat, look into snorkeling with sea turtles. What is there to say. Best Boggie Board beach in the world!
This beach is where Tom Morey invented the Boogie board. Very predictable break, strong current at high tide. There is a comfort station with shower to rinse off
Honl's White sand Beach is a popular surf spot, hosting one surf competition every year. In the evening time local surfers and body boarders come out to enjoy the waves. This location is great for watching the sunset or laying on the sand or green lawn.
Awesome beach to watch the sunset and surf
