  • One of the best things about Hawaii is the fresh produce. Farmer's markets are the best way to get the best of the best. There are some souvenir type items as well. Some appear to be locally made, but...  more »

  • Great local produce and Hawaii inspired arts/crafts/souvenirs selection. Parking is limited but not impossible. Got a good deal for ripe bananas - 10 dollars a box. Freshly cut pineapple was delicious! Papaya was super sweet! Compare to similar markets on other islands this one definitely stands out. Tons of fruit!
  • This was a fun place to shop! This is where I purchased all of our souvenirs for friends/family back home. All the local fresh fruits and vegetables you could want. Great prices and lots of jewelry to choose from.
  • Nice little spot to roam. Found some great souvenirs and weren't hassled much by anyone to buy. Wish I could have taken more advantage of the fresh fruits there
  • I used to go to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. Then, I realized that much of what is sold is simply Costco products repackaged. For example, pineapples are always $1 more than the Costco price and identically labeled (from Maui). You can also find non-local fruits or vegetables that happen to be on sale at Costco for less at the same time. For example, after seeing persimmons at Costco, I saw the same type for sale here at about twice the price. The only reasonable prices are for papayas, which they are probably buying from the producers and are sold as pig food for around $10/pickup load. Other markets have people who grow the food selling it, and the result, while maybe a little more expensive (and maybe not), is really local, and hence fresher and better for you and the environment. Remember that in most cases, non-local means from >2000 miles away. The non-food items (e.g., jewelry) might be OK; I have never been looking for them, so I have not compared them to other options.
  • Loved the place. Fresh fruits, great local art items. Definitely try some coconut water.
