Turtle Bay Beach, Kahuku
(4.2/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Protected from big waves, Turtle Bay Beach is a lesser-known spot for snorkeling. The calmness of the water allows for great visibility of the coral reefs and tropical fish below the water's surface. The public beach also offers a good chance of spotting the endangered Hawaiian green sea turtle, a highlight for many visiting the island. The resort on the beach has been used as a setting for many TV shows and films, like "Hawaii 5-0," "Full House," and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." If you work up an appetite swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing, there is a restaurant on the beach. • The beach of the coast is very good for snorkeling! Plenty of fish in the "reefs". The bigger fish are in shallow water on the right side. Free to first come Lounge Chair.
