  • We took a trip to this lovely sanctuary on a cool MLK day. The cooler weather had many of the animals out lounging in the sun providing us with a closeup look at some beautiful animals. The grounds an...  more »

  • This is a wonderful place! They rescue, rehabilitate and release native Florida wildlife. If an animal is unable to be released they give it a home at their facility. Their exhibit area is set up like a small zoo. There is no admission fee but they do have several donation boxes around the property for you to help support their cause. Another interesting aspect is that it is next to a water treatment facility and the treated or recycled water is used all around you ... Even the cypress swamp area uses it. The only downside is that they are closed on a Sundays. Check it out... have fun and get educated about our wonderful natural Florida!
  • Lots of exhibits and animals. Very well taken care of. 👍 Beautiful and helpful staff. They are very friendly, and answer all your questions.
  • Check ahead if you want to see the bears. Although some trails were closed due to flooding, I love and appreciate all wildlife sanctuaries and the animals they take care of. My daughter had fun trick or treating and petting a few of the animals. Great price to be able to get a glimpse of nature.
  • They do great things here. I have taken several animals here over many years. Possum, geese, ducks, owls. They always take the animals and treat them beautifully. I give them a donation every year. They do very important work. They have educational tours for kids and adults. They have cougar, bald eagles and Fox's. Whole lot more too!
  • This place is a hidden gem. Great displays. Gift shop and hopefully donations, but no charge to look around.
