  • Great place to hike, but beware of the utterly distasteful sign "for the victims of abortion". Hey, how about the victims of violence in the name of religion? Can you put up a sign for that? The sign put a bitter taste in my mouth for the rest of the hike. I wouldn't return, either. Poor taste to put up a sign like that. It only serves to make people feel bad about their choices.
  • What a lovely, serene place this little gem north of town is. A short walk across the spit to a little island / peninsula and you find yourself enshrouded in a small forest with a chapel surrounded by little alters / markers depicting various moments of biblical lore. The viewing area overlooking Lynn Canal was especially serene and you can make your way around to walk along the rocky beach itself. Such a beautiful, introspective visit for one of any faith, unfortunately marred by one particular sign posted on a tree near the entrance proclaiming in colorful metaphor the very orthodox Catholic stance on abortion. Apparently, the sign itself is a fairly new addition from years past, and the guilt and anger caused by this posted sign were seemingly evident on some visitors' faces. Most definitely not the best way to wrap up one's afternoon visiting an otherwise hauntingly beautiful locale.
  • Had an teen ACTS retreat there, it was amazing and beautiful.
  • The Catholic Church teaches the real truths of the faith. Anyone who performs abortion is guilty of murder, so you do not understand these ludi that they complain to the truth.
