  • The wine was okay, the whites were better than the reds. The Pinot Grigio (2013) was our favorite of the lot. They were out of a few, including the Cab. The location and gentleman working the tasting ...  read more »

  • Very nice wines here - they do outsource many of their grapes. Their dessert wine in particular is quite good. If you're into wine and came to Julian for some apple pie, you're missing out if you don'...  read more »
  • Love the julian gold! Beat wine ever!
  • I agree with Robert Cline, I too am not a fine wine expert by any means, yet I enjoy the stomped grape. Menghini Winery is a charming, unassuming barn in a country setting, complete with cats roaming the premises and a very knowledgeable wine tasting dude. I would love to go back for the festivals and parties they throw out there in the meadow. It really looks like a fun time for all. I wish they had a bed & breakfast to keep the happy wine drinkers close to the field and off the curved roads. I still have my stemless wine glasses embossed with the named winery and reminisce about my experience there. It was very memorable!
  • I do not know about this place in particular but I was here for the starfest 2014 and it had a nice country side feel to it at night. They also have these volcan valley apple farms and I enjoyed the u pick here in the October beginning, 2014
  • I really love the location of this winery and I also really love the look and feel of the winery it's so authentic. It's got a homey feel to it. there are horses out to the pasture apple trees around the property truly just a really beautiful spot. One where you can sit back and relax and enjoy good company & a bottle of good wine.
  • We make a day and evening of going to Julian and tasting at Menghini. We have sat and chatted at length with the owners both previous airline people. Wines are great, atmosphere is wonderful, especially around sunset time. Great place
