  • Very interesting tour. Good old boys running the place. You have to do some ducking and stooped walking in the mine, but I made I.
  • The guide mumbled so could not understand most of what he said. They kept adding people to the tour after it started and ending up being too many people to see or hear what he was talking about. Not t...  read more »
  • Toured the mine with my husband during a visit to Julian. Had a character of a tour guide who was funny and informative. For $10, the tour takes you about 400 feet below ground, temperature was so goo...  read more »
  • This is an excellent attraction. I've been coming to Julian for years, but never have taken the tour. I should not have waited. The tour is informative and the guide is excellent. The mine is well-lit and in good shape. It is a quarter mile journey through the mountain -- in one side and out the other -- with a bunch of cool things to see and hear about.
  • Today we went for a tour at the Eagle & High Mine as a large homeschooling group. We fully enjoyed it! It was a great hands on educational experience. The Nelson family was awesome at educating the kids on their developmental level about gold mining. Everyone was fully enthralled and was captivated by the history to be learned there. The experience really helps you understand the day and the life of a miner as you walk through the mine. We look forward to returning next year for another gold mining tour.
  • This was great. The tour guide, I believe his name was Kim, was very knowledgeable and did a great job leading the tour. Fascinating to learn about how the mines were made, and why.
  • Great tour and the owner and employees were so friendly and accommodating for our dog. Very neat to see the gold panning and inside the mine.
  • First time visiting a mine. My husband and I both enjoyed this tour very much. The guide was very knowledgable and personable. We are both slightly worried about the tight spaces but it was too bad.
