  • There is no other place I've visited like this site before - which to me makes it a must stop. It takes as long as you want and is right in the town so you're not going far. Check it out!
  • A bit off the beaten path, but worth the effort, Noah Purifoy was a visionary far ahead of his time and thankfully his legacy is being preserved out here. Make your way out, and PLEASE, pay the $3 don...  more »

  • Amazing art installations made from all kinds of found object/trash. Outdoors in beautiful Joshua Tree setting. It's free but you can donate a few bucks to support upkeep.
  • An amazing collection of art. Each piece is fascinating and provokes a lot of thought. As a museum, it works on a higher level as well. The backgrounds and the desert setting add a really cool atmosphere as well. The museum is really close to the entrances to Joshua Tree National Park and so it is well worth stopping by on the way to the park. It's free to get in and wander around - there's a good chance you would be on your own here too, which is great fun!
  • Could give Rauschenberg a run for his money.
  • I really loved this place. If you came from L.A. going to Grand Canyon, you must stop in this place!
  • Good for free time killer. Last .5 miles is unpaved no services or water.
