  • We love going to every National park. Joshua Tree NP is vest visited in winter. Summer can hit 120°. I've been all times of year, my favorite was this Feb 2017. Went hiking at some great spots my brother in law picked out 2 days in a row. Really took some great shoots. Walking sticks extremely helpful!
  • Definitely worth visiting before entering the park. Each visitor center has there own "passport stamps" which are a great reminder of all the national parks that you have visited.
  • Looks to be smaller and less busy than the visitor center in Joshua Tree town, but the staff are just as nice. Staff helped us identify a gopher snake that was just happened to wake from hibernating and passing through. Even the volunteers at this center were so knowledgeable and kind; they helped us understand where best to go in the park.
  • Nice little visitor center with trinkets to buy, information about the park and things for little ones to do as well. Restrooms located outside, and very helpful park staff.
  • Lots of great books to purchase. Good hands on displays for the kidos and small exhibits that teach you about the Park/Mojave. Nice small cactus garden with educational labels. Public bathrooms and drinking fountains too.
