Living Treasures Animal Park Reviews
The grand children loved Living Treasures park. You can feed and pet the animals and stay as long as you want. more »
Cute little zoo. Clean well run. Animals seem well cared for and happy. Went for a "Dark in the Park" event. It was non-scary and fun. Also very dark. Bring a flashlight if you go for this event. Very... more »
I can't say enough good things about this place! It was one of our favorite spots on our trip to the East Coast, (visiting 8 states.) If you're an animal lover, you'll absolutely love this place! The ... more »
Horrifically abusive and neglectful facility with miserable animals. People have been taking horrific videos here since they began yet somehow they remain open (likely due to the nonexistent enforcement of miniscule protections for captive animals.) If you want to teach your children that animals exist to suffer in misery for human entertainment, bring them here. I have visited many times to see the tiny enclosures and miserable and injured animals. But, kids know the truth. If you really want kids to see happy animals that you can tell happy stories about, take them to Hope Haven Farm Sanctuary, arrange a tour with one of the wildlife/bird rescue facilities, volunteer at an animal shelter, or teach them about wildlife conservation sites that don't put entertainment first. It is truly a travesty that this place remains open. Some of their responses to negative reviews here are amazing- like claiming they didn't actually remove any animals' top teeth, that those species just don't have top teeth. PLEASE. One second on google will let anyone see through that. This place is run by liars who abuse and exploit animals for money- plain and simple.
This place was awesome. We stayed on our way down to VA to break up the drive. It's right off the turnpike. Our kids loved the room, heck we loved the room! The big suites looked pretty awesome. Would love to stay in those sometime with a bigger group!
I loved my experience at Living Treasures! It was amazing to get so close to the different animals, and capture amazing pictures. The animals seemed, to all appearances, well taken care of and happy. You can buy food approved for the animals at check-in, or around the park are food dispensers, appropriate to the animals near them, which take quarters (bring quarters, as the animals like the dispenser food, and will come visit more readily). Great value for the money. Will definitely go back!
I've purchased many items at LT and they were very nice keepsakes and gifts. I love to watch the animals interact. The bears lions and monkeys are very affectionate playful and loving to each other and young. They all appear happy and healthy. Love it there!
Living Treasures was one of our favorite things that we did on our trip to the East Coast (8 states) from Ohio, and we even did a whale watch! I HIGHLY recommend the Sloth Interaction where you get to feed/pet/spend time w/a baby sloth (Padawan.) We also loved feeding the animals carrots and bag feed throughout the park. There's several you can feed from your hand, and others you can feed through a tube. The animals were hungry and active. It's a great experience for animal lovers.
