Pedernales River Nature Park Reviews
We have gone back here many times just this year. They have places to swim and the views are amazing. We love going and exploring the rocky areas. They are dog friendly and its just a perfect place... more »
My husband and I enjoyed a short 30 minute visit at Pedernales River Nature Park. I think it is worth at least a 2 hour visit but we had other plans for the day. The park is located on the north end..... more »

Great for a lunch break. Beautiful river. It would be really cool if some benches and grills were available. Hope I didnt just over look them.
WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT!!! I called ahead specifically to ask about swimming areas and was told there was swimming. She said to park in parking lot and walk to the "beach" We get there and can't find a safe place to get in the water to swim . Finally found a person to ask and was told they really don't have swimming. You can canoe, or kayak. She said you need to get far away from the bank because of the snakes. So, a pretty park with picnic tables, restrooms, pavalions. But NOT good for swimming.
I agree. I'm a senior citizen and only pay 2 bucks and it is not worth even that. Besides that LCRA charges a $100 for an annual pass. For what. State parks are only $ 70 annual and that covers the whole state system. Another agency out of control. won't be back.
They have made improvements..n it's nice..but you would think folks like LCRA who have more money than God wouldn't have to charge...not by car ...or season pass ..but $5.oo per person a day
Costs $5/person just to cruise through this park. Incredibly steep if you're just wanting to stop by and see the river. That's ridiculous and NOT worth the money. There isn't a clearly marked place to pay - only someone paid to yell at you when you don't pay (I had assumed "day rate" meant you were hanging out all day). Please everyone, spend a little more and drive a bit further because Pedernales State Park is a million times better and practically the same price (one dollar more per person). This park is not going to be worth your money. It should be free.
