  • It was very pretty here and clean. Roads were great. When we went it was very hot and dry though - so no water was really going over the falls. Hope to go back someday after some rains!

  • We love this park! It is beautiful and easy to find and access. We did multiple hikes and due to the weather being cooler when we stayed it was great. We started early and got three hiking trails...

  • The place was beautiful with amazing green colored river, they also do bird feeding at 9am and 3pm, we waited at the bird blind for bird feeding but unfortunately the feeder didn't show up.

  • This is really a beautiful place. Picturesque waterfall. It is big enough to walk or bike, you will need a few days to see all its trails. During this dry season the river is very shallow and calm, unlike last year's same dates, but anyway we had a lot of fun. And, of course, fruitful wildlife! Raccoons, armadillos, deer, many different kinds of colorful birds and fish. the bird blind is well designed. And in the star theater we saw a stunning sunset.
  • Not body told me I need reservations for this park. Lack of the information online.
  • The camp sites are very clean and well maintained. The bathroom/ shower facilities are also amazing, heated with hot water and regular plumbing, not vault toilets. Being 1 hour from Austin, this will be my go-to camping area. Also, the camp hosts and any staff we encountered were very friendly and informative of any questions we had. They deserve all five stars.
  • We had a great time here. We stayed 2 nights camping in a tent but be prepared for the 2 mile hike. It wasn't bad because if the beautiful scenery. The fishing here is great. My wife caught a big carp at the waterfall. We can't wait til we come back next year.
  • This is a nice little state park in the hill country area of Texas. The park has very few frills. But you can visit the river in a lot of locations. During drought times there is not a lot of water in the river, but you can get your feet wet. If it rains be very careful of the river, as it rises quickly, since the ground is all rock. We have visited many times during various seasons, and we enjoy this little park.
