  • The dog park is all turf which has its pros and cons. My dogs run around just fine but when it rains it can be difficult for them to get traction. The good news is they leave the park wet and not muddy. There are paved walking trails all around the park as well, the people are nice, and there's a Starbucks right across the street.
  • I take my dog to this park almost every week and I love it! It’s a beautiful park made out of turf so the dogs don’t get muddy. It has an separate area for Big Dogs and small ones. It’s a great place for both you and your pet to socialize! I highly recommend!
  • I love this park. It's safe, the doggie playground is absolutely wonderful with the Astro turf and splash pads. BUT! I would've given this dog park 5 stars if the small dog side was bigger. I have a mini Aussie that is very high strung and loves to run and play! But the small dog side is so so small with very little room and no playground. She is terrified of large dogs since she was attacked by one(different park different city) so the large side of the park is off limits. I wish I could take her over there since they have a huge playground and large wooded area. It's quite honestly unfair and rude that the small dog side is so small. If they would expand it by like 20-30 yards and add a wooded area, it would be so much better.
  • Great place for dog socialization. Wish more dog parents picked up after their dogs especially since there are always doggy bags.
  • What can you say - Newtown is pretty awesome overall. The park has great amenities and the dogs really love the socialization. The only complaint I have is how it is after rain or during a wet time (like the past months). The turf gets very squishy and I just think they didn't think things through when it comes to water! Otherwise, we love it.
