  • Historical jailhouse especially for the Irish immigrants of last century. We did not take the offered tour but the building is fabulous and so are the walls and areas you can visit for free.
  • Although a little further walk up Broadway then the rest of the main stores and eateries, we were glad we walked up to see a part of history! The guide was very informative and you definitely get an e...  more »

  • The history of this jail is amazing, sad, and tragic. To walk in the same cell blocks and on the same tiers as the molly maguires is eye opening and pulls at my heart. This is exactly why we need to preserve our history and teach our children so that these injustices will hopefully never be repeated. To read the list and hear the names of people who were hanged by a "jury" that consisted of no women, no Irish, no coal miners and all with very little to no evidence made me tear up. To hear the conditions that these men and boys were expected to work in.... I urge every person to take this tour, and then also to remember than injustices still happen. Keep history alive!
  • Cool piece of local history. It was busy and there wasn't a huge waiting area, just a few chairs in the lobby. Otherwise you have to wait outside. Our guide was knowledgable, and was able to answer questions with ease. We had to wait for for the previous tour to move on, so she told us one of the ghost stories while we waited.
  • Went today it was awesome! I didn't feel anything or see but I took photos and seen orbs!
  • Interesting place to visit, the tour is worth the price and is pretty thorough. This place is not for the meek of heart or those who are turned off by real life correctional facilities and the way inmates are treated in previous years.
  • Great tours. Informative guides and neat history.
