  • We've mined for crystals in other locations and had good luck and a good time, but Ron Coleman -- not so much. The mining was just okay. The RV park was pretty awful. They required a photo of our.....  more »

  • After seven years of patronage, we won’t be going back. What use to be a decent place to dig, albeit you are digging through regurgitated dirt, we use to find some decent crystals. But, the past three or so years we have noticed it’s very slim pickings. We took seven people from out of state who were so excited but, came back with not much of anything. If you’ve got children I’m sure it’s a fun day. But unfortunately that is what it has become, more of an amusement type setting. If your a serious digger, unfortunately this is not the place and there are so many other mines to choose from.
  • I've been going here for many years.... Yes we did find more in earlier years... But we still enjoy it each and every time that we go... Especially the campgrounds
  • Great outdoor fun! You have to appreciate the fact that there aren't too many places you can go out and dig for your own crystals. We had the whole place to ourselves. I also learned some neat history about the place. Yes, they have ziplines but they only do it during the summer. We were surprised to find it open in the dead of winter. Great fun!
  • I’ve been a Repeat customer for the past 15 years and I have to say the ability to find Crystals here has become less likely throughout the years. Just can’t find them here anymore. It’s just not what it once was. Also, every time I try to use the “$5” Coupon from the local newspaper or magazine the answer is always the same, “this is an old Coupon so it’s not valid”, even though I picked up the coupon book on the same day, this time from The Village Inn and have seen the same booklets in other stores and gas stations. Heads-up... THEY PROBABLY WILL NOT HONOR THE COUPON! It’s been 15 years of occasional visits and they still use the same excuse. I’ve learned to expect the coupon thing is just a ploy to get people interested. On a positive note, Coleman’s does have an Excellent Rock Shop with many amenities on location and plenty of Rocks n stuff to peruse, however the majority of the Items are not from the mine, but from other countries and are highly over-priced.
  • The most wonderful place to relax an play in the dirt, to find beautiful crystals! Can't wait for this year's annual trip.
