  • Spent around 2 hours digging with my friend on a beautiful Sunday afternoon! It was a lot of fun - found lots of pretty crystals!
  • We came here for my birthday I didn't know on your birthday you get to dig for free so that was a plus! We got the ziplining package too. It was a windy day so I got stuck on the zipline . We found lo...  more »

  • Friendly, helpful, and kind Staff. Our Boy Scout Troop 733 Arlington Texas enjoyed the digging and the zip line. We made our reservation in advance and got a special group price. With all the crystals we found, we got a lot more then our money back. As far as experience. ...PRICELESS!
  • beautiful location. the zipline was great, but the tour guide could use a history lesson. She claimed the natives "just gave away" the land the mine is on.. not only was she wrong, it was very offensive.
  • Had a wonderful time digging for quartz at this mine! The staff was very friendly and we found some beautiful clear points!
  • Went to do the tour and there was a bus tour of senior citizens that had just arrived for their your. We were able to be squeezed in with them. There wasn't enough room on the truck for us to do that part of the tour do we opted to wait for the next round. While waiting, we were offered a complimentary zip line for our trouble. My husband had wanted to go, chose not to due to price, was now thrilled that he could! Awesome afternoon spent here. Very friendly staff.
  • We had a great time at the mine! We found plenty of quartz points both clear and amber colored, and the entire area is littered with less valuable quartz. The mine is simple and easy enough for inexperienced families seeking an enjoyable experience to dig, made of around 50 piles of Quartz rich clay and earth which you can look through with provided tools to find points. The people there were very kind: one man in the gift shop at the entrance gave me a crystal point at the beginning of our dig, the ladies in the Coleman rock shop where you buy the mining permits were friendly as well, and our fellow diggers, who were of every age, showed us the same hospitality. We did have the unfortunate experience of a very steep ride to the mine, but it had rained recently and the axle on our car is very low. Also very economical in comparison with some of the other mines in the area. I would recommend this mine to every person wanting a fun, easy mining experience!
