Look for biggest bull sharks in captivity at Oklahoma Aquarium, as you walk through the underwater tunnel that was once featured during Discovery Channel's Shark Week. Feed otters, beavers, and alligators, or learn about different kinds of jellyfish. You'll have the chance to see baby seahorses, usually found wrapped around the plants in the water. You can even touch sea anemones and stingrays in the interactive exhibits. Check the aquarium's feeding schedule online before you go to pinpoint when you can watch divers feed the fish in the coral reefs and the sharks in the tunnel. Oklahoma Aquarium Reviews
Outstanding is the only way to rate this attraction. The displays are exceptional and very well maintained. We were amazed at how much we did not know and how much we learned. This is very educational... more »
We have had family passes for several years, and the kids never get sick of this place! They have an amazing tunnel that you can walk through which travels through the shark tank. It is so neat to see... more »
We've been to a few aquariums so we weren't expecting much with this one not located near an ocean. But this aquarium is right up there on the list. Lots of ocean exhibits as well as local fish and wi... more »
This Aquarium is pretty small and will just take you an hour or two to go through it. Not as Lavish as other places, though it covers a good number of fishes and marine life. The ticket prices are on the lower end and they do justify the place. 1. Adult - $15.95 2. Senior - $13.95 3. Military - $13.95 4. Children - $11.95 On the other hand the size of the Cafeteria is very small and it's mostly crowded. The Gift shop has some really cheap quality souvenirs. The best thing that one can expect is the Shark display area which is pretty well maintained and they do have a number of them. Overall if you are visiting Tulsa & want a get away this can be a place to visit but if you are expecting too high of this place then you will for sure be disappointed. This place does have a parking area with Wheel Chair Parking and way for them. Overall this place is good to spend some time with Family and Friends but is not something that is out of the box.
Oklahoma seems like an odd place for an awesome aquarium, but don't let it's landlocked status fool you. This aquarium is well-kept and full of lots of interesting exhibits. My favorite is probably the shark tunnel. You feel like you're in the ocean with sharks swimming all around you, even above your head. It's a great place to bring the whole family.
Great adventure! I would go again. We were traveling and I have a zoo membership that got me 1/2 price tickets. 2 adults 1-4 year old and 1 infant was $45. My son loved the shark and starfish petting tanks. And the crawl through aquariums with various fish. The ocean exhibit had recently opened and was a lot of fun watching the fish from below and above. The sharks aquarium was impressive. The kids sat under and watched for quite some time.
Overall we had a pretty good experience. Exhibit tanks seemed too small for the animals but the employee's were great and even offered me a free stroller for my kid. overall Oklahoma Aquarium was a very clean, nice place to visit. The shark exhibit was great and I'll defiantly be returning.
One of the finest exhibits in Oklahoma. Lots and lots of aquatic animals. They have very well informed docents who can make your visit more meaningful. Fun for the whole family see sharks sea turtles electric eel, and many other fish from around the world
