Oklahoma Aquarium, Jenks
Categories: Zoos & Aquariums, Nature & Parks
Look for biggest bull sharks in captivity at Oklahoma Aquarium, as you walk through the underwater tunnel that was once featured during Discovery Channel's Shark Week. Feed otters, beavers, and alligators, or learn about different kinds of jellyfish. You'll have the chance to see baby seahorses, usually found wrapped around the plants in the water. You can even touch sea anemones and stingrays in the interactive exhibits. Check the aquarium's feeding schedule online before you go to pinpoint when you can watch divers feed the fish in the coral reefs and the sharks in the tunnel. We went here on a Tuesday night during our recent trip to Tulsa. While a bit over priced, it was definitely a nice place to visit. We were able to walk through the galleries several times and they had... read more »
It may seem a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I'm sure there are Groupons or Living Social deals available from time to time. We always enjoy taking our son to see the fish and other s... read more »
While I've lived in Oklahoma most of my life I just found this aquarium this past week due to having a visitor from Haiti and him wanting to see an aquarium. I looked for one close to where we live an... read more »
I've only been to the Aquarium once. It's a nice facility, for a town/city of this size. Clean and climate controlled. I'm not much of a fish person although I was mezmerized by the jellyfish and I have a special place in my heart for the Seahorses. But the kids loved it. A tad pricey so make plans to stay awhile & get your monies worth.
We took the whole family. My 6 month old baby was amazed and yet so was my 18 year old brother! Very rare! lol Fun,clean, friendly, plus educational! Great experience for the entire family! I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about going!! :)
a little expensive but amazing. everything is fantastic. if your in the Tulsa area and have a few hours to burn they won't be waisted here
We've had a membership for two years and plan to continue it indefinitely. Such an amazing place for kids to view all kinds of sea life, watch animals being fed and even feed some themselves. It's a perfect place to go to during the hot summer days. Their events are also incredibly fun...highly recommend their Sleeping with Sharks event that they have every few months.
It was amazing. I did a walk through the other day and loved every minute. I Learned some cool stuff and b out the creatures and just LOVED the shark tunnel. And the price was super fair. Will definitely go again!
