  • For this time of year the fishing is good but the crowds are thick especially on the weekends, we arrived just as the sun was lighting up the lake we heard a coyote yipping on the east side of the lak...  more »
  • Nice little lake near Los Alamos. Fishing is ok after stocking, but it really depends on how good you are.  more »
  • We were here for three days. We came in on the weekend and since our trailer is self contained with solar, we parked in the primitive loop. The park staff was very friendly and the park was pretty cle...  more »

  • We camped here in April and it was beautiful. Campsites were lovely and facilities were clean. I think we camped at site 16, which was pretty secluded and had a nice trail to the creek which our dog loved. Great little hiking trail along the other side of the creek that takes you to the lake as well. Will definitely be back!
  • Overall, this was a very nice area. There are nice geological formations in the area and beautiful scenery. There is some nice fishing spots, and it usually isn't too crowded. The camping areas are nice, and there are functional amenities, but no showers. Again, overall, it is very good.
  • If you're into fishing this is a great place to call home for a day or two, or even a few hours. The campsites are well marked and large enough for a good size RV or trailer. We visited in the offseason as it was the last week of March and temps were still on the chilly side. I'm giving it three stars because I'm not into fishing and given that we visited in the off season (camp is opened all year), there didn't seem to be much information on things to do in the shoulder season. We'll be back when the temps are warmer and we can ride or hike more
  • Great place for family activities like camping and fishing. If you camp you'll have reserve a spot on the website, around $20 a night. If you're going to fish or day hike, you'll also have to pay $5 for a day pass, we'll worth it! Porta Jon's are on site.
  • Great fishing. Great time. Gorgeous landscape very nice place.
